Originally from Canada, Chris opened up Great Western BBQ in Sofia 15 years ago which is now the biggest and the best dealership in the Balkans. Chris loves authentic and classic American Barbecue but also brings in his Canadian roots when it comes to steak, marinades and smoking meat. He prefers to use regional and fresh Bulgarian products for his American inspired BBQ Recipes.

Having grown up in Texas, Chip has a rich background of Authentic American BBQ, especially the BBQ Culture of the southern states of the USA. Also, through his family heritage, Chip also knows loads of culinary food tweaks from Asia. 

Grew up in the industrial Ruhr-Valley of Germany, he knows two or three things about the grilling culture of this region. His love for BBQ led to some fusion barbecuing which he loves to experiment with. During the years he became an expert in all things pizza, from scratch, and a lover and connoisseur of wines, including Bulgaria’s finest.
